Thank you for choosing to book your child a space to come and join us at Manor Farm...

 

The following information should be everything you need to know to ensure that your child has a fun filled time with us, but if you do have any questions please just get in touch.

 

We have plenty of comfy indoor space at the farm in Slimbridge and Wycliffe School in Stonehouse but we do endeavour to get out and about enjoying nature and visiting the animals as much as possible and the following information and kit list will hopefully mean we are ready for anything:

 

Recommended Clothing

 

    Old comfy clothes + set of spares in a named bag extra pairs of socks are very useful!

 

       Wellie boots for mud play, pond dipping and pony riding (safety helmets and body protectors will  

        be supplied for every child).

 

       Waterproof coat/mac and trousers if you have them. > Warm coat or jumper to go under mac. >Slippers or 

        indoor shoes.

 

       Sun cream in a named bottle and sun hat if it is hot. 

 

       Gloves are a good idea even in summer for some activities for children with sensitive hands. Spare gloves in

       winter are great if you have them.

 

Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle for each day. No nuts please! Plenty of drinking water

will be provided throughout the day. Club starts at 9am each morning and finishes at 4.30pm.

Child safety is of paramount importance to us we are Ofsted registered and every activity will be stringently risk assessed with a paediatric first-aider on hand at all times. We hold public liability insurance and all children are given relevant safety briefings including making sure hands are always washed correctly after touching animals, gardening, cooking and before eating.


How to find us

Main Manor Farm site Slimbridge;

 

We are very conveniently located just off the A38 between Gloucester and Bristol, outside the village of Slimbridge. We have a generous car park for visitors and the activity club is clearly sign posted. From Gloucester/Cheltenham Direction Take the A38 towards Bristol at the Slimbridge/Dursley roundabout carry on straight over towards Bristol. At approximately 400 yards, take the first right onto Tyndale Road, signposted

Hurst Gossington. Manor Farm is approx 50 yards on your right.

 

From Bristol/Berkeley Take the A38 towards Gloucester when you reach the first railway bridge signposted Dursley. Carry on down the A38 towards Gloucester past Haven Animal Feeds on your right. Approximately 400 yards immediately after the second railway bridge, take the first left onto Tyndale road, signposted Hurst Gossington. Manor Farm is roughly 50 yards on your right.

Manor Farm at Wickselm House in Berkeley;

We are located on Station Road just off the Berkeley bypass.

When coming from the A38 at Berkeley Vale go past Mole Valley Stores on your right, at the mini round about turn right and head up the hill past the housing development on your left. At the next mini round about turn right and Wickselm is on your right directly after the roundabout.
